Many pressing problems in plastics and textile recycling, in plastics development and processing. At Kuteno, the Used Plastics Day and the Used Textiles Day, we present ready-to-use, portable solutions and inline process monitoring.
There are currently several pressing issues in the area of plastics recycling in the EU.
- Reducing the use of single-use plastics
- Increase in recycling capacity
- Increasing the proportion of recycled material
- Mandatory separate collection of used textiles
The development of new single-origin plastics, the fast and effective sorting of existing waste streams despite a shortage of skilled workers, the reuse of production waste, the ever-increasing demands on the quantity and purity of recyclates and automation in textile recycling are issues that affect all sectors involved in plastics production, processing and recycling. From masterbatch manufacturers and injection molders to recyclers of post-consumer waste and sorters of used plastics: No one can sit back and relax.
Together with our partners trinamiX, Luxflux and Inno-Spec, we will be presenting various solutions to these pressing issues at the upcoming trade fairs:
trinamiX - portable NIR spectrometer
- Plastic identification
- Plastics LITE with 6 plastics
- Plastics PRO with 30 plastics
- PP content in PE-PP mixtures
- NIR detectability
- PV backsheets
- Carpet recycling
- Textile recycling - including differentiation between nylon 6 and nylon 6.6 and new, integrated table solution.
All trinamiX solutions are characterized by very intuitive operation. Take the opportunity to test them live on site!
Inline process monitoring with HSI NIR cameras
- Real-time process monitoring based on customer-specific databases
- Chemometric data models for detecting impurities and inhomogeneities and for monitoring additivation.
- Connection of cameras from different manufacturers and readout of the results via C++ and Python possible.
Live at 3 trade fairs: Kuteno in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Alttextiltag in Nuremberg & Altkunststofftag in Dresden
We start with the Kuteno at the beginning of May in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. trinamiX will be presenting an integrated table solution for textile recycling at the BVSE’s Used Textile Day in Nuremberg. We will also be showcasing this new hardware at the Used Plastics Day in Dresden at the beginning of June.
KUTENO
OLD PLASTICS DAY
The 25th International Used Plastics Day 2023 will take place in Dresden from 6. until June 7. The Central Forum, which will deal with the requirements for plastics recycling from the perspective of research, market development and the planned European Packaging Ordinance, will be followed by the workshop “New impetus for plastics recycling”. The barbecue evening takes place after the content part.
On June 7, the thematic focus will be on recycling-friendly packaging design. We will be on site as an exhibitor on both days.
OLD TEXTILE DAY
The 10th International Used Textile Market will take place on 16. and May 17 in Nuremberg. Block I deals with the question of what paths there are to a textile circular economy and Block II revolves around the question of how sustainable innovations can succeed in the EU.
Our partner trinamiX will be presenting a new, integrated table solution for recycling at the event.
