How do I scan multi-layer film with best accuracy?

Fold the sam­ple 2–3 times and place it flat on the white PTFE refe­rence tile. This enhan­ces signal qua­li­ty and helps iden­ti­fy mul­ti­ple lay­ers such as PE, PA, or PET.

Why does the result vary when scanning the same multilayer film?

Mul­ti­lay­er films may have varia­ble com­po­si­ti­on across are­as. Also, the sur­face lay­er may domi­na­te the rea­ding. Ensu­re full cont­act and con­sis­tent sam­ple posi­tio­ning for repeata­ble results.

Which mode is best for detecting laminates?

The Mul­ti-Mate­ri­al Films app is opti­mi­zed for that pur­po­se. It will indi­ca­te PA con­tent or mixed mate­ri­al per­cen­ta­ges when applicable.
